Frequently Asked Questions

What is a registered agent?

Every Texas LLC, corporation and other registered entity must name a registered agent with a physical Texas address. The agent receives lawsuits, subpoenas and official state notices on the entity’s behalf during business hours.

Can I be my own registered agent?

Yes, if you have a Texas street address and are available there during business hours. Your address then becomes public record, and a process server can arrive at your home or office in front of family, staff or customers.

Is your office a real, staffed location?

Yes. We operate from a physical office at 202 Walton Way, Suite 192, Cedar Park, TX 78613. Service of process is accepted Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., without an appointment.

What is the difference between Basic Shield and Privacy Pro?

Both include full registered agent service. Privacy Pro adds a private business address and Proxy Mailbox business mail handling, so you can keep your home address off public filings and receive business mail in one place.

How will I know when something arrives?

We log and scan every document on receipt and alert you by email, with the scan available in your secure client portal.

How much does it cost to switch agents?

Nothing extra with an annual plan. We file the change with the state and cover the $15 state fee.

What does the Formation Package cost in total?

$799, which includes the $300 Texas state filing fee.

What is the franchise tax report?

Most Texas entities must file an annual franchise tax report and Public Information Report by May 15, even when no tax is due. Missing it can lead to penalties and, eventually, loss of good standing. We can file it for you for $99 a year.

Do plans renew automatically?

Yes. Annual plans renew each year until you cancel. Cancel anytime before renewal by emailing support@texasregisteredagenthub.com.

Do you give legal or tax advice?

No. We are a private commercial registered agent and filing service, not a law firm, and we are not affiliated with the Texas Secretary of State.
